Barrel Sinker Mould

Our Barrel Sinker Moulds create Barrel Sinkers that are extremely versatile in fishing:

• Their streamlined, aerodynamic design makes them perfect for trolling, casting, and running rigs.
• This shape allows your line to flow smoothly while keeping your bait or lure submerged without spinning.
• They are particularly useful where a slender profile is needed. Great for float fishing or, when quickly submerging bait with minimal drag.

Common Uses for Barrel Sinkers

• Trolling: Their streamlined form is ideal for trolling lures or natural bait, ensuring they stay at the desired depth while reducing spinning and line twist.
• Casting and Surf Fishing: The aerodynamic design facilitates longer casts, and their weight helps sink your bait to the bottom, especially in flowing currents.
• Running Sinker Rigs: The central hole allows your line to slide freely. You can then position your sinker directly on the main line above a swivel and leader. This results in a more natural bait presentation.
• Float Fishing: Smaller barrel sinkers add a subtle weight to float rigs. You can then control buoyancy and ensure your bait is submerged.
• As a Lure: You caa ttach a hook directly behind the sinker and retrieve it along the surface to create a flash, attracting fish such as bonito, tailor, or mackerel.
