Bait Tips for our Couta Trace / Leader with Vinyl Skirt:

Live Bait: Insert the lead hook through the nose cavity of a live mackerel. Position the second treble hook behind the pectoral fin and the third hook slightly past the halfway mark, under the skin.

Dead Bait: Follow the same hook placement as for live bait. To maintain the bait’s alignment, some anglers opt to add a sinker to the trace.

Our Rigging:

Our Vinyl Skirt is placed on the trace just behind the final hook along the main leader wire. This creates added visibility and enhanced bait presentation.

Trolling and Fishing Techniques:
