Downrigger Cannonball Sinkers

To optimise your fishing experience with Downrigger Cannonball Sinkers, follow these steps to ensure success:

1. Rigging the Line and Clip

• Begin by casting your lure a short distance behind the Downrigger Cannonball Sinkers. This distance (known as the "setback,") typically ranges from 6 to 100 feet.
• Create a loop by twisting your fishing line around your fingers about 10 times. Then attach this loop to the Downrigger Cannonball's release clip.  
• Adjust the release clip's tension to ensure it releases the line when a fish bites.

2. Lowering the Weight

• Secure your fishing rod in a rod holder.  
• Gradually lower the Downrigger weight to the desired depth, using your thumb for control and watching for any tangles in the line.  

3. Waiting for a Bite

• As the weight descends, crank the rod tip to remove slack in the line, priming the Downrigger Cannonball clip for release.  
• The downrigger weight maintains the set depth while trolling. This allows your lure to swim naturally in the water.

4. Landing the Fish

• When a fish strikes the release clip will open, thus freeing the line.  
• Retrieve the rod from the holder and proceed to fight the fish as usual.
