Garrick Fishing Kit

Garrick, or Leervis, are sought-after game fish prized for their powerful fight. They mainly consume smaller fish and crustaceans and typically hunt in nearshore waters, especially within the surf zone, and are drawn to locations where baitfish are abundant. They chase and ambush prey and are opportunistic feeders so you can easily target them with live bait or artificial lures.

In South Africa, the daily bag limit for Garrick is two per person, with a minimum size requirement of 70 cm total length. Additionally, Garrick is classified as a no-sale species, making it illegal to buy or sell them in the country.
