Grapnel Wire Sinker Mould: A Fishing Essential

Grapnel or Claw wire sinkers serve as effective anchors for fishing rigs on the seafloor. They are effective in surf / reef fishing / pier  fishing.

You add wire arms that will penetrate the bottom to secure the bait. Rememberthese wires must bend or "trip" and fold back when a fish bites or during retrieval to prevent the sinker from becoming snagged.

How They Work

• Anchoring:  When cast, the sinker's wires spread out and embed themselves into the sand or reef, firmly anchoring the bait in a designated spot, even amidst strong currents.
• Retrieving: If a fish is hooked, the wires are designed to fold back and detach from the bottom. This enables you to fight and retrieve the fish without the sinker becoming stuck.
• Sinker Reuse: After a successful catch, the wires can be reshaped for the next cast.
