Grunter Fishing Trace

To effectively use our Grunter Fishing Trace, employ a light-tackle, sliding-sinker rig with natural baits like sand or mud prawns.

• Main Line: We use a 6 to 10 lb braid or monofilament for better bite detection.
• Sinker: A small, free-moving egg or ball sinker.
• Beads: Protects the knot during casting.
• Barrel Swivel: Connects the main line to the hook leader and ensure tangle-free fishing.
• Hook Leader: We use 40-80 cm of light monofilament leader line to avoid detection.
• Hook: Our small, sharp size 1 - 2/0 baitholder hooks are efficient for hooking the fish in the corner of its mouth, aiding in catch-and-release.
• Best baits: These include sand prawns, mud prawns, and small crabs. 

Use a gentle casting technique in promising areas, detecting bites through soft pulls. Maintain a light drag when fighting the fish to avoid line cuts.

Conservation is crucial; follow regulations (min size 40 cm, bag limit 5) and consider catch-and-release practices, especially for larger fish.
